🌻 Cowee School Farmers Market

Set against the backdrop of the historic Cowee School Arts & Heritage Center at 51 Cowee School Dr., the this farmers market welcomes visitors every Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, from May through September. This market is a treasure trove of fresh local vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, local crafts, honey, herbs, baked goods, jams, jellies, cut flowers, and plants. And it’s a stone’s throw from other family activities like gem mines, the Little Tennessee River and a beloved “U-Pick-It” farm.

🍅 Franklin Farmers Tailgate Market

Situated in the parking lot between 226 and 268 East Palmer St., Franklin Farmers Tailgate Market operates every Saturday morning. From April through October, it’s open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and from November through March, it runs from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Established in 2001 by local growers, this market offers a wide variety of products throughout the season, including plants, flowers, eggs, fresh produce, baked goods, soaps, mushrooms, breads, herbs, and more.

As a bonus, the Artisan Alley Craft Market sets up right next to the Franklin Farmers Tailgate Market on the first and third Saturday of each month during season. This market features a diverse array of handmade, homemade, homegrown, vintage, and antique items.
