Hurricane Helene was devastating to so many communities to the east of Franklin. Luckily, our mountain town and the surrounding area was minimally damaged. Unfortunately, the news of the storm is causing many would-be visitors to cancel their plans to visit our beautiful mountain region during the height of the leaf viewing season.
Local family businesses will be hit hardest by the “storm after the storm” if tourists don’t come back.
The good news is that Franklin and our surrounding areas are open. Visitors are welcome. In fact, visitors are needed. But don’t take our word for it.
