Bridal Veil Falls is one of the three main North Carolina waterfalls just minutes from Franklin on Hwy. 64. The waterfall gets its name from its resemblance to a bride’s veil—a small stream falling from above creates a 60-foot “veil” of water. Unlike the other mountain waterfalls along this route, there was a time when you could actually drive right behind Bridal Veil Falls for an experience, and souvenir snapshot, of a lifetime. Today, park nearby at a convenient pull-off just beyond the falls.and it’s still amazing.
Bridal Veil Falls is located in Macon County about 2.5 miles west of Highlands on Hwy 64 and is on a tributary of the Cullasaja River. This picturesque 120-foot fall cascades over US 64.
