Locally Crafted Drinks for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day just wouldn’t be the same without romantic drinks in shades of pink and red. And on this day when we celebrate love, who doesn’t love a good drink with their favorite person! In Franklin, we love the crafted creations as much as we love love itself!

So, without further adieu, here are some great options from morning coffees to evening cocktails.

Coffees to steal your heart

Imagine waking up to mountain views, and taking a short scenic trip to a great spot in town for your favorite hot or iced specialty. In Franklin, our historic downtown district has it all. There’s the Crabtree General Store & Coffee Vault where visitors can enjoy coffee in a rocking deck chair overlooking the downtown square. Or around the corner, Main Street Coffee & Yogurt offers caffeinated drinks, and even a Strawberry Boba Milk Tea. Then there’s the Bent Willow Bakeshop located in a restored historic house just down the hill. It’s a local favorite for making coffee-flavor syrups and pastries from scratch.

Romantic Cocktails

Of course, evenings here offer a most important part of the Valentine’s Day experience: hand-crafted cocktails!

Gracious Plates On Main has created two romantic cocktails for the big night. “The Heart of Passion” combines passion fruit rum, strawberry vodka, and cranberry juice, with a champagne topper, glitter whip cream and a strawberry heart garnish. The Gracious “Chocolate-Covered Strawberry” is a more decadent cocktail with triple chocolate liqueur and strawberry vodka. Also on Main, JR Chophouse is serving up “Love Potion #9”, a smooth blend of Tito’s Vodka, raspberry liqueur, cranberry and orange juices, fresh lime and a red sugar rim.

A little bit off the beaten path, the Slanted Window Tasting Station (normally known for its local wine) crafted a fabulous Ruby-tini and a decadent chocolate cocktail. Then there’s Graff’s Tavern to put you in the Valentine’s mood with several specialty cocktails featured in shades of red and pink.

Non-Alcoholic Delights

For those couples who prefer drinks without the kick, there are several options to quench your thirst. The Love TAP Tea Shop makes a variety of specialty drinks known as “loaded teas.” It’s a vibrant combination of vitamins, aloe, caffeine, and flavorings, all mixed and served ice cold. Hydr828 is Franklin’s IV hydration spa, and this Valentine’s Day, the staff will serve up “mocktails” as the perfect pairing to their regular services.

There are so many Valentine’s Day choices, we can’t list them all. But hey, that’s a good “problem” to have. Check out all our restaurant options here

One more note: Franklin’s historic downtown is home to a Social District, which means you can purchase and sip beer or wine in a special cup as you shop and stroll. Hope to see you soon.
