Franklin Plein Air Art Festival – Mountains & Main

Painters will capture the charm of Franklin, North Carolina, and the sweeping Appalachian–Blue Ridge beauty of Macon County during the 1st Annual Mountains & Main Franklin Plein Air Festival.

This multi-day celebration of outdoor painting culminates in a public exhibition and sale at the Franklin Uptown Gallery. Artists will have the opportunity to work along historic downtown streets, the Franklin Uptown Gallery, mountain vistas and waterfalls, and the region’s rivers, parks and greenways. Visitors are invited to watch artists at work as they create original paintings in real time.

Painting locations include Historic Downtown Franklin, Parker Meadows, the Greenway along the Little Tennessee River, Cullasaja Gorge, and Quarry Falls. Completed artwork will be exhibited at Uptown Gallery, where awards will be presented and artwork will be available for purchase at the Gallery through October 31.
