“A Very Merry Christmas” – Mountain Voices Community Choir
December 11 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Mountain Voices Community Chorus will perform their annual winter concert on Thursday, December 11 beginning at 7 pm at First United Methodist Church located at 66 Harrison Avenue in Franklin NC. Always scheduled in December to officially kick off the Christmas season, this year’s “A Very Merry Christmas” concert is sure to bring holiday cheer! The performance includes jazzy arrangements, big band orchestral scores, twists on holiday favorites and traditional anthems.
Mountain Voices Community Chorus, a 45-voice mixed community chorus with members from western NC and northeast GA, was formed in 2015 and is under the direction of Beverly Barnett. Chorus members meet year-round to prepare for summer and winter concerts. Mary Pittman, Mountain Voices piano accompanist, will be joined by other local instrumentalists to complete the band – flute, violin, bass, guitar, drums, concert bells, percussion, and brass (trumpets, trombones, flugelhorn, and tuba).
Please join Mountain Voices for an evening of familiar carols – a mountain tradition you don’t want to miss! The concert is FREE (donations are appreciated to offset the cost of music and are tax deductible as allowed by the IRS for this 501 (c) 3 organization). If you would like to sing in future concerts or want more information about Mountain Voices Community Chorus, please visit our Facebook page, or call Beverly Barnett at (828) 508-6052.
