Franklin’s holiday weekend begins on Friday, July 3 with daytime activities at Parker Meadows Complex and an evening concert in downtown Franklin.

If you’re coming in for the weekend, Friday is the perfect time to settle in, stretch out, and start celebrating.

10 AM–3 PM: Spend Friday at Parker Meadows

Start the day at Parker Meadows Complex, where Franklin’s America 250 Celebration kicks off with sporting games and family activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It’s a good excuse to spend the evening on Main Street. Grab dinner, walk downtown, do a little shopping, and settle in for live music in the middle of Franklin’s holiday weekend atmosphere.

If you’re making a full getaway of it, Friday night is a great time to enjoy downtown before Saturday’s larger celebration.

Saturday, July 4: Spend the Morning in Downtown Franklin

Saturday starts right where a Franklin Fourth of July should — downtown.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., downtown Franklin hosts a full lineup of family-friendly Independence Day activities, making Main Street the place to be all morning and into the early afternoon.

10 AM–2 PM: Inflatables, Watermelon and Family Fun on the Square

Bring a chair, make an evening of it, and plan to stay through the end.
