Sustainable Tourism
If you’d like to do good while enjoying your time in the mountains, think about volunteering with a local veterans group – the Special Liberty Project. On Valentine’s Day afternoon, you can show up at the retreat center (focused on veterans and Gold Star Widows and families) and help out on the farm. Horses, mini horses, a mini donkey and more are a part of this mountain voluntourism experience. Always so rewarding!
